Dead Modem -- Tech Support Call :)

I call in to get the automated response going through everything that it needs. Afterwards I wait about five minutes for a tech support representive to be free. I tell him that I do not have connection problems, I have modem problems. I give this guy everything he needs to know about it, more then he needs to know about it infact. He was overall impressed as to how much I knew about it. I told him that I would need a new one and stuff. Also told him that it was completely fired and that it did not work. When he asked me fried, as in none of the LED lights worked, I said no. Then I continued to tell him that there was a POST boot error and it would continue to flash the power LED red over and over. It would not complete the POST boot up like it should. After I told him he asked me series of other modem related questions, that I explained to him while answering the first one. I basically repeated myself a few times. He then put me on hold for eight minutes. Which I had to hear their pos advertisements. He came back and told me that my modem was still under warranty, he went back to call consumer products department to ask if my modem would be able to get replaced. After another four minutes of waiting he came back to tell me that my modem is only warrantied under manufactor errors. That power outages that would cause the modem to fry are not under warranty and tried to make me buy a new one. I then went from nice to kinda cruel, haha. I told him that there has not been any power outages in my town in a month. Even then the power outage did not affect my house. He said OKay and he'll go back to consumer products to tell them this. I waited a minute and he told me that they would cover it. Then told me to have a good day -- I was about to hang up when I heard a voice. She told me all this jibberish that I could not understand. So my modem will be here in 3-5 businesses day.
